Today we boarded a ferry with my father and headed to Martha's Vineyard for the day. Sadly, Linda, my step-mother, wasn't feeling well so she stayed back at the RV to rest.
We parked at the Coast Guard base and walked onto the ferry. It was only about a 45 min ride to the island. Once we arrived we rented a car and headed to Edgartown for lunch at the Seafood Shanty.
We wandered around Edgartown for a bit, drove up to see the lighthouse and then opted to go find these houses that look like gingerbread houses. They are very cute but VERY expensive for how small they are: $499,000 for a 640sqft, 1 bedroom/1 bath.
On the way back to the ferry we drove over the JAWS bridge and along the beachfront.
It's a very cute island but in low season there really isn't a ton to do... If you've never been, go, it's cute and worth seeing.
