With Niagara Falls being our next biggest destination we had to plan a stopover somewhere between Concord, VT and Niagara Falls, NY.
Ithaca, NY was the winner. This was our longest drive at about 7 hours and around 350 miles. I tried to plan everything by following the 330 rule (arrive by 3:30 or drive 330 miles in a day), but this was I pushed a bit.
My folks headed home and we headed to Ithaca. We had a great time with them but now it was time for us to head off to our next adventure. We will see them in August though so goodbye's weren't sad, they were more "see ya soon!".
Something to note: The drive to Ithaca was the roughest - the roads were very bumpy and it was very windy. Once we did arrive, we stayed at Spruce Row Campground, which was the first campground to check our dog's rabies papers - glad we had them! The campground was fine, nothing special. Their water pressure was horrible but otherwise, it was fine. They had no 50 amps so we were back to 30 amp again.
For dinner, we headed into town looking for Thai food. We found a place according to yelp that was Chinese and Thai, Spicy Asian. Yeah no, they weren't, just Chinese. That was fine, we found something to eat and it was good.
We had stopped at Sally's Beauty Supply to pick up some hair color (it's time to get rid of the purple and go back to brown) and I noticed our muffler has cracked in half and was barely hanging on. Guess we know what we will be doing the next day. That is exactly what Keith did the next day - muffler repair, oil change and cleaned the air filter.
That was our Ithaca adventure. Not much else to report as it was a quick stop with minimal exploring. It looked like a cute town.
Next stop, Niagara Falls!
